Industry-Level Shifts in Canadian Construction 2023-2025

Canada's modelled construction activity expanded from $255.1B in 2023 to $277.3B in 2025, an 8.7% increase. Momentum remained positive in the latest year, with total regional monthly revenue rising 4.6% from 2024 to 2025.
The largest absolute gains came from Highway, Rail & Bridges (Incl. Roads) ($5.0B), Roads & Municipal Civil Works ($4.0B), and Energy (Incl. Pipelines & Transmission) ($3.0B). Roads & Municipal Civil Works also recorded the strongest mix shift, increasing its share of modelled activity by 0.2 percentage points between 2023 and 2025.
